Hosting the Sammet laureate of Aventis-foundation

Thursday, 20th to Sunday, 23rd of November 2008
Biocenter of the Goethe University of Frankfurt/Main, Germany

The 1st joint conference for "Membrane Transport and Communication" is initiated and organised by the the Center for Membrane Proteomics (CMP), the Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 807 and the European Membrane Biology Network (EMBN).

The conference focuses on the newest results and future perspectives of the research on membrane transport and communication separated by four topics:
  1. Structure of Membrane Proteins
  2. Mechanism of Protein Translocation
  3. Dynamics & Modulation of Membrane Protein Complexes
  4. Membranes in Cellular Dynamics
Experts from all over the world will talk about their research results and the trends for the future. Young scientists are invited to provide posters. Evening events and a nice atmosphere at the Campus of the Biocenter and the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysics will round off the programme of the conference.

The participation fee is 150.- Euro except for CMP-, SFB807-, CEF-Members.

Fellowships are available in the line of the EMBNTrain, the series of events in the 6. EU Framework Programme for 50 young scientists including participation fee, travel costs, accommodation, and the participation on the social events.
